Dean Gibson
Dean Gibson is an Australian pastry chef, chocolatier, baker, educator and co-founder of Team Pastry Australia and Skills for Trades.
A pioneer of the Australian pastry scene with over 40 years’ experience and a background in competing in global chocolate, artisan baking, patisserie, and gelato competitions. He specialises in food based artistic pieces such as artwork in dough, Chocolate and sugar work.
Gibson has participated as a competitor, judge and manager of Australian teams since 1999 at the Coupe du Monde Patisserie, World Chocolate Masters, World Gelato Cup, World Artisan Baking Cup, Asian Pastry Cup, and the World Baking Cup.
Dean has always had a passion for art expressed this through his mastery of patisserie and has established Australia's first culinary art studio with industrial designer Jon Pryer and videographer Shane Williams and graphic designer Vanessa Anton.
