George Gilmour

George Gilmour

From 2009 to 2013, George undertook non-degree external printmaking programs at the Pine Street Creative Arts Centre, Sydney, Australia, under the guidance of Rebecca Baird.

George’s practice focuses on non-toxic techniques, working primarily in Collagraph and Mokuhanga printmaking. His approach emphasises graphical clarity and inventive interpretation, engaging viewers in conversations around philosophical and socio-political themes.

In 2025, George participated in a residency at the Karuizawa Mokuhanga School, Japan, with master printmaker Terry McKenna. He will be a MI-LAB Artist in Residence in Echizen, Japan, in October 2026.

George's work has been exhibited at The Newsagency Gallery, Stanmore, Sydney (2012), Global Gallery, Paddington, Sydney (2013), The Arthouse, Wyong, NSW (2022), as well as various other group shows.

We at The Creator Incubator acknowledge that we are meeting and working on the traditional country of the Awabakal and Worimi peoples. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, and continuing relationship with the land, and that they are the proud survivors of more than two hundred years of dispossession - land never ceded.
