Louise Fischer

Louise Fischer is a multidisciplinary maker with a background in art theory, printmaking, sculpture, industrial design, and metalsmithing. Her most recent work has manifested as small—scale sculpture, thematically concerned with environmental fragility. Louise often presents her work in wax, which is of a temporal nature, but which also alludes to the potential for alchemical change. She believes that the most precious aspects of personal adornment and object making is not the value or permanence of the materials, but the stories that they tell.
