Jane Lander

Wind Wind Blow is a personal response to our shared Australian histories. Long after the exploits of our colonial forebearers have dipped beyond the horizon what are we left with but the real truths and the legacies of our violent past.

Jane Lander is a Hunter-based artist with an exhibiting career spanning 40 years. Her practice embraces drawing, painting and printmaking with a current focus on stop-motion animation.

Thematically, Lander’s work explores the symbiotic relationship between people and place, often in reference to social justice and environmental issues.
